My interest in therapy began at a young age. Growing up in a small town in Indiana, I witnessed many people struggling with relational and emotional challenges, often without access to adequate resources. As I completed high school and began my undergraduate studies during the peak of the pandemic, I saw this issue intensify—many people around me faced significant difficulties, but lacked the support they needed. I have always felt an innate desire to listen to and comfort those who are hurting, and this deep-seated empathy led me to pursue a career in therapy. Observing the overwhelming need for mental health professionals in various environments reaffirmed my calling. My professors at Purdue University further fueled my passion for helping others, teaching me the importance of sitting with people in their pain and supporting them through their challenges. My time at Purdue solidified my commitment to becoming a mental health counselor and providing the care that so many people need.

As a future therapist, my hope is to sit with individuals during their most challenging moments and offer them a sense of hope, comfort, and understanding. I want to create a space where clients feel safe to explore their struggles without judgment, knowing they are supported and heard. My goal is to help them confront their difficulties from new perspectives, empowering them to see possibilities for growth and change, even when things seem overwhelming. I believe with the right guidance, people can uncover their own inner strength and resilience. By providing tools and strategies to cope with life’s challenges, I aim to facilitate healing and personal growth, allowing clients to move forward with a renewed sense of clarity and purpose. Ultimately, I want to help my clients build healthier relationships with themselves and others, and to navigate life’s ups and downs with greater confidence and emotional balance.

Outside of Mini Minds and classes I love spending time with my friends and family. I love trying new coffee shops, pilates, and baking or cooking new recipes for my family. I also love spring and summer time, and try to spend a lot of time outdoors hiking, canoeing, or walking my sweet dog Montana.
