How Mini Minds can Benefit your family

You will first learn how interpersonal relationships directly impact the development of the brain. You will become more aware of your child’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. As you begin to understand the thoughts and feelings that are behind your child’s behavior, you will learn strategies on how to respond more effectively with empathy. As our children grow and learn, so must we as parents grow and learn in our responses. As you gain a deeper connection with your child, you will also discover a fuller understanding of yourself as a parent. You will explore how your traditional parenting methods may be falling short and learn how to change your vision to help support new skill development. You will form a deeper understanding of your own life story, master the best methods to communicate the lessons you are trying to impart, and create your own unique parenting philosophy and family culture.

Insurance companies have made receiving mental health, speech, and occupational therapies increasingly difficult over the last several years. Not only can approvals change at the drop of a hat, but insurance consistently dictates how long and how frequent sessions can occur, leaving families to have to wait for care and lose momentum on progress, many times spending more money out-of-pocket. By adapting our model of service delivery to help families receive the care they need, when they need it, we are able to create a plan that works for your family – not the insurance company.

Research shows this will provide more effective treatment for your child, and MUCH quicker. Our unique approach also allows for parent coaching, so that caregivers can become involved in treatment and learn how to implement successful strategies at home. Therapists can work together to co-treat your child at the same time, instead of scheduling multiple sessions for wholistic care. Not only does this allow us to more effectively implement a WHOLE CHILD approach to therapy, but it gets the results you want much quicker.

Insurance no longer has to dictate your child’s care. With this new service model, we are able to put their needs first, while saving you time and money.

Testimonials

a year ago our therapist worked with our son who was having some milestone “development” challenges at age 3 1/2 to 4 1/2. Our son loved working with her and she offered good techniques and therapies. There is no question we saw improvement using their services and highly recommend them.

We have been taking our children to Mini Minds for many years now. I can’t sing their praises enough. They care so much about the kids, and we really consider them part of our family.

~ Miranda Vanderpool

I have been bringing my son to Mini Minds for the past few months and have seen an incredible change in his ability to manage his autonomic nervous system and overall allow himself to be a kid. I’m thankful as well to get feedback as a parent from a professional to better myself as a dad. Every time my son looks forward to meeting with our therapist to which I’m overjoyed. Very thankful for Mini Minds and that they are equipping my child with the necessary tools to be the healthiest version of himself.
