Stacey Klene

Occupational Therapist
Brief info

Hi! My name is Stacey and I was born on the southside of Indianapolis and raised in White River Township in Johnson County. I attended the University of Indianapolis on a soccer scholarship while achieving my Bachelors degree in Psychology & Pre-Occupational Therapy. Continuing my education as a University of Indianapolis Greyhound, I went on to obtain my Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2019.

Driven by a passion for working with children, along with a curiosity to understand mental health, led me to the discovery of behavior therapy. Garnering more than five years of certified training as behavior therapist, I provided parent education, encouraged natural environment learning, and worked with children of all ages within the schools, the community, and in home settings.

After obtaining my Masters, I focused on further developing training by procuring a job at St. Vincent Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital. This position allowed me the opportunity to be trained and work within both the pediatric outpatient and inpatient settings with great mentorship.

Looking to grow my skills even further, I pursued a personal dream and moved to the coast of South Carolina to join a dynamic team of speech language, occupational, and physical therapists at Now We’re Talking Therapy. While there, my enthusiasm and love for multidisciplinary outpatient therapy within the clinic, community, and home settings intensified! Being able to assist families directly and improve quality of life with a holistic approach was beyond rewarding.

After two years of living the lowcountry life, I moved back home to Indiana to be with my family and explored positions where my unique skill set of combining mental health and occupational therapy allowed me to grow.

All the education, experiences, and training has solidified my passion as a pediatric Occupational Therapist. Working full-time in the field since 2019, my training has included a variety of feeding therapies, reflex integration, extensive sensory motor integration techniques, emotional regulation with mindfulness practice, Zones of Regulation, Superflex Thinking, and behavior therapy, preparing me to assist all ages and diagnoses with confidence and competence.

I am so excited to share my energy, positivity, humor, compassion, patience, and knowledge with all of the families I serve! A homebody at heart, when I’m not at work, I spend most of my time with my boyfriend or snuggling my spoiled, lionhead bunny, Lenard (Lenny), and even more spoiled Morkie-poo, Louis (Louie). I enjoy spending time with my parents, sister, brother, three nephews, and one niece. When not with family, I enjoy time with friends, being active with walks, pilates and yoga, cooking, exploring local wineries and breweries, and listening to music.
