I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology followed by a Masters of Science degree in Communication Disorders. I began practicing as a Speech Language Pathologist in 2011. In my 12 years of experience, I have worked in a variety of settings including early intervention, hospitals, schools and pediatric outpatient clinics. I have been a part of the assessment teams both within the schools and for the Indiana early intervention birth to three program. I feel strongly that a comprehensive assessment should include looking at the whole child to create a plan of care.
My passion resides in working alongside families to help improve both the parent’s and child’s quality of life. I have specialized in working with toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children with oral motor, feeding and speech disorders. While I am most passionate about these areas, I also evaluate and treat in the areas of receptive/expressive language, social skills, and augmentative communication. Within the field, I strive to collaborate with other professionals in order to help maximize results for my clients. At home, I have a family that means the world to me. My daughter attends Heritage Christian and we are true Heritage Eagle fans! I also have a three year old Aussiedoodle named Ziggy who is quite the rambunctious character. In my down time, I enjoy hiking, taking long walks, traveling and playing board games with family and friends. In the summer, you can often find me enjoying sunny days boating on Geist with family and friends.
