Mariela Burgalin

Speech Language Therapist
Brief info

I was born and raised in Miami, FL where I also earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Florida International University. I am a Nicaraguan American, fluent in both Spanish and English. I have worked with children for 7 years in the areas of early development, special education, and speech-language services.

I’ve always had a passion to work in a rewarding field and being able to change the lives of little ones has brought me such joy. I enjoy working in the areas of early intervention, receptive language, and expressive language. I also have experience in working with feeding, swallowing, speech, pragmatic, and fluency disorders. I believe that as an SLP there is nothing greater than being an advocate for your patients and I strive to be just that for each and every one of them. I am eager to work as a team in order to meet the needs of your child.

Outside of the field, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, self-care, traveling, movies, and dates with my fiancé.
